P osition Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists with prescription processing, insurance coordination, medication fulfillment, and daily pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience with specialty medications is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Pharmacy Technician registration (or ability to obtain if required)
• 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience required
• Specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with insurance processing, prior authorizations, and pharmacy claims is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with pharmacy management software is preferred

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Assist with prescription intake, data entry, and insurance claim processing
• Coordinate with patients, prescribers, and insurance companies
• Assist with prior authorizations and specialty medication workflows
• Maintain accurate patient and prescription records
• Manage inventory and assist with medication ordering
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company policies
• Support pharmacists and other team members with daily operations
