Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of key tasks, including:

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and determine appropriate treatment strategies.

  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and building resilience.

  • Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), demonstrating your technical expertise in trauma therapies.

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma, learn coping mechanisms, and foster personal healing.

  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other clinical staff to provide coordinated care and treatment for patients.

  • Offer crisis intervention services and emotional support during traumatic incidents, ensuring client safety and immediate care.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

  • A master’s or doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • \n
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a clinical setting that focuses on trauma recovery.
  • \n
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • \n
  • Experience in conducting trauma-focused therapies.
  • \n
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication, empathy, and the ability to create a trusting therapeutic relationship.

  • Ability to remain composed under high-stress conditions.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
