Nexus Mental Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist, licensed as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, to join our innovative team on a full-time remote basis. This position allows you to provide essential mental health care to individuals who have been impacted by trauma, empowering them towards recovery and resilience.

Work Environment\n

This remote position allows for flexibility while still maintaining a strong connection with our outpatient office framework. Our working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some schedule flexibility to meet the unique needs of our patients. You will have the support of a multidisciplinary team committed to trauma-informed care, and regular online team meetings will facilitate communication and collaboration.

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insights into patients' trauma histories and to develop tailored treatment approaches.

  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans, addressing patients' specific needs while focusing on trauma recovery and building resilience.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, implementing interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating opportunities for patients to process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote emotional healing.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, showcasing your ability to stay calm under pressure.

  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies, ensuring they feel empowered through knowledge.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

  • Engage in continual professional development through participation in case consultations, team meetings, and workshops focusing on trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population served by our therapists includes adults and adolescents who have experienced significant trauma. Our focus is on individuals working through severe issues such as PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in helping these individuals navigate their challenges, providing them with the tools and support necessary for recovery.

Qualifications\n

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Texas.

  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, preferably with a focus on trauma.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and the provision of trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
